The first rule of Naturopathic Medicine: You do not talk about Naturopathic Medicine.
Just kidding, that's actually the EXACT opposite idea (thank goodness because I'm not a fighter, Brad Pitt or no, not for me!). One of the Naturopathic Principles that is so vitally important to our profession is to teach about health and wellness, and empower patients as well as the public to make well informed decisions about their wellbeing: "Doctor as Teacher". This applies in patient visits, where I always explain to the best of my ability what I think is going on with each person, as well as what therapies we are using and WHY. So I'm going to put on my slightly larger teacher hat next Friday and hold a free talk at the lovely new clinic I'm joining, LifeMark Physiotherapy.
That's right, a FREE talk-- a little introduction to naturopathic medicine and what services I provide. We will be providing food and refreshments as well, and it's the perfect time to come and try some delicious veggie desserts! (Pictured here are carrot apple muffins- so good!)
